Kinda selfish, dontcha think, that you would rather skirt the law than fix your vehicle that is spewing bad emissions into the atmosphere that we all share? Just a thought.

Oregon State members..NEED HELP
by badseed into make a long story short, i need a physical address in the southern part of the state (outside medford area) ex: klamath falls, etc.
it doesn't have to be the south but has to be outside portland or medford areas.. the reason is that i'm presently in bakersfield ca and my vehicle (which is fine, btw) doesn't pass the emission requirements for registration.
so i need to register my vehicle where an emissions test is not required.

Today's libation is one from from the Good Ol' USA. A single barrel Kentucky Bourbon.
This one comes from the Buffalo Trace Distillery, which is Kentucky's oldest operating distillery.
Bourbon: Col. E.H. Taylor, Jr. Single Barrel Bourbon
Distillery: Buffalo Trace Distillery, Frankfort, Kentucky
Age: 11 years and 7 months old
Proof: 100 Proof, 50% ABV
Color: Medium to deeper amber
Nose: Deep Oak, plums, and buttery. The nose contains much the signature oak DNA of the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection and other Buffalo Trace Bourbons.
Taste: Enters sweet and buttery, goes to a mild zesty citrus character and the swallow is a prevalence of “smokiness” reminiscent of a Scotch. The acidic nature plays against the smoke in a strange fashion at first, but after more sips becomes an interesting journey.
This kind of smoke is rather unexpected flavor coming out of a Bourbon and delivers the the depth of the barrel in a fashion that we don’t taste often.
Finish: Long finish of serious oak stays firm on the tongue along with citrus, bitter, and tobacco.

My son was murdered today
by truman ini have been on this site daily, almost from its beginning, since i left the jws in 2001, but i have been more of a reader than a poster, as you can see from my post count.
i know few here know me, although i know many of you through reading your posts.
maybe it is not right to ask for support, when i generally stay quietly in the background of this forum, but i want only to speak a human misery of the deepest kind.

So sorry for your devastating loss, Truman. May you heal quickly.
I don't know if it's the same incident or not, but I saw a brief story on national news this morning about a sherriff that was shot and killed serving a warrant or eviction. The news stated that the sherriff (deputy?) was a week away from retirement. So senseless and sad.
Sincerely,
-Breck Taylor

When I first started drinking as a young man, my favorite thing to make at parties was a punch that i devised using a half-gallon of Canadian Mist, a fifth of Triple Sec, and equal parts OJ, lemonade, & 7-Up. Did the trick, for sure.

Hi Heathen,
I get the question all the time, "what's the best whisky"? The only correct answer to that is that the best whisky is the one that YOU like best. There are too many differences in styles and characterisitics to pin one down and call it "the best".
If you like Canadian Mist, then it's a perfectly good beverage. I tend to like more robust, full-bodied whiskies. Doesn't mean I'm right & you're wrong, just that we have different palates.

My Bull Necklace
by TOTH inyears ago my mom sold avon and i bought a necklace from her that had a bull head as the centerpiece.
(looks like the one above) i was first admonished by the overlords to not wear it because it was like walking around with a golden calf around my neck.
when i kept wearing it my mom was scolded for selling it to me and i was then scolded as well.

Morbidz,
When I was in High school, I found a giant box of tapes in a dumpster near my house, FILLED with awesome music. You didn't grow up in Sandy, Utah, did you?

I had an album by The Cure on cassette tape when i was a kid and loaned it to one of my Dubbie Buddies. His mom found it and threw it away, claiming that "heavy metal" (her words) wasn't allowed in "their Christian household". Right. The Cure is about as heavy metal as Hootie & The Blowfish. I thought about having her listen to some real metal, just so she'd know the difference in the future.

Zid:
Whisk(e)y has NO FLAVOR?!?!?!?
Surely, you jest!
I could see your point with vodka. Vodka is intentionally distilled so as to be neutral in flavor and aroma. But whisky?
Whisky obtains a variety of flavors and aromas, not only from the oak, but from the grain, as well as the yeast. Even the copper that the stills are made from can impart certain flavors.
